Thanks Rick
Can you confirm for me that I should be going through the active hub
And does it matter if there is another dmx device between hub and the ssr?
These are old ssrs that I have used and controlled 4 channels with
Previously was using dmx firmware on dongle when I programmed start address first time (last year)
To set the start channel there is only valves on channel one and channel two of the data stream (per universe). So once the active hub creates the dmx data it will be just whatever valve you are asking for.
Example you want your SSR4 to be at channel 180
I am sending 180 on channel one and zero on every additional channel per universe, pixelnet in this case.
The active hub will convert the pixelnet data into dmx data and channel one will have a value of 180 and the rest of the 511 channels will be zero.
Example two you want your SSR4 to be at channel 340
I am sending 255 on channel one and 85 on channel two then zero on every additional channel per universe, pixelnet in this case.
The active hub will convert the pixelnet data into dmx data and channel one will have a value of 255 and channel two will have a value of 85 and the rest of the 510 channels will be zero.
Just make sure you have the jumper connect on the active hub and of course the SSR4 jumper is on program mode as per the wiki directions.
So as you can see there is nothing special about the data and the active hub and any dmx device will send the data along.
Hope that helps
