Quick update on the Aether II.
I had one of the heatsink plates completed last weekend by the machine shop and It a nice drop in fit. I have the LED unit attached with 4-40 screws with a little heatsink compound between the led and the heatsink plate.
I have some proto pcb's ordered and have to wait on them to put it together complete but I have been running it off of the breadboard and temps look very good. Light output is as I showed great!
Building it will only require your soldering Iron, solder, hand drill, two common drill bits and a Phillips screw driver. It should only take about 45-60 minutes to have one built. Much less if you do a couple at a time.
The cooped kit will include all hardware, parts and pcb. Even two pigtails used on the SSC's to use to feed out for a Cat5 connection. All you will need to supply is a housing (same as Aether).
No running to the hardware store to hunt for stuff!
